ObjectIDEA worked with Brent Johnson Design and The Scenic Route (designers) to develop a master plan for a new Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.

Comprehensive planning involved surveying best practices in automotive museums and benchmarking the Los Angeles cultural scene in order to develop a museum that would perform in its market and shine alongside its neighbor-museums on LA's "Miracle Mile." 

We developed a new interpretive identity for the museum - 3 museums under one roof- and helped articulate a new design vision aimed at putting the museum on parr with its international contemporaries.

We brokered conversations with board and staff to facilitate a widely endorsed vision for the future, developed narrative and diagrammatic representations of the visitors' experience, and supported the designers in their development of sketches, renderings and graphics.
