NEW ENGLAND SKI MUSEUM  North Conway, New Hampshire

Skiers and skiing are a part of New England’s culture and soul, from weekenders and amateur ski clubs up through Olympians and World Cup champions. The New England Ski Museum seeks to tell the stories of skiing’s past, present, and future within the area. Stories of immigrants introducing new techniques on the slopes are intertwined with looks into how the realm of ski vacations has evolved over the decades and affected the region’s economy. The interpretive approach is also supported by an overarching focus on how New England’s ski culture has retained its unique character and appeal over the years.

Working with HER Design and The Square Office, ObjectIDEA was tasked with developing a comprehensive exhibit focusing on the distinctive history of New England skiing.
