Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum

Cooperstown, New York – A Whole New Ballgame at the Baseball Hall of Fame captures the history of baseball from 1970 to today and places new emphasis on the experience of fans wherever they may be: in the stands, in front of the television, or on the field itself thanks to gaming and fantasy baseball. A Whole New Ballgame touches on the controversial subjects of performance enhancing drugs, Pete Rose’s exclusion from the Hall, Tommy John surgery in youth baseball, changes in the rule books, and the memorable strikes of the 90s. ObjectIDEA collaborated with the curatorial team at the Baseball Hall of Fame to establish the thematic approach and storyline, and partnered with HER Design and Blue Cadet to deliver the design of exhibits and interactive media.

Visitors can enter (or post via hashtag) their answers to questions like “Do you think Pete Rose belongs in the hall of fame? and “How would you feel if your 15-year old’s coach recommended surgery for your child’s pitching arm?”

Footage as artifact

Footage as artifact

The great moments of baseball are artifacts in and of themselves, offered on large screens in the context of the physical collections.
